I have a detailed understanding of the issues (and history of the issues) which we currently face across Currituck – from the un managed growth on the mainland in Moyock (and it’s effect on the entire county) to the issues of access, growth, water and tourism on the Currituck Outer Banks.

I believe my analytical skills can serve our community to navigate some of the daunting issues which we face on both sides of the Currituck Sound.

• Better management of / planning for residential growth;
• Press for review and re-write of the UDO (Unified Development Ordinance) to accomplish the above goal;
• Working toward more open and honest government;
• Working toward a more citizen and business friendly government;
• Working to cultivate local businesses, reining in spending of our tax dollars outside of the county;
• Continued funding of schools; fire/EMS/LEO and other county services, while seeking alternative/innovative funding solutions;
• Re-constitution of the County Economic Development Board, with accompanying direction on specific targeted goals and objectives; Working to cultivate existing businesses and attract the necessary new businesses to our community (pharmacy, recreation, dining, & shopping)
